Hi,
I used the 5V and ground-pins on the JimStim for supplying a (3 wire) pressure sensor which I wanted to test.
Unfortunately I had to find out the sensor must be broken because I measured 5V on the ground wire when the sensor was only connected to the 5V line. Wish I had measured that before connecting it to the JimStim!
So thats how I created a short between 5V and ground on the JimStim.
The LEDs went out immediately and I switched off the JimStim after that.
Now after disconnecting the faulty sensor, everything seems to work fine again, but I am still unsure if there is anything that had been destroyed by the short or not.
Is the JimStim/Megasquirt fused against a 5V short?
What is most commonly broken after a 5V short?

Is it normal that the Injector LEDs do not switch off at exactly the same time when hitting the rev limiter which is set to fuel cut only?
I dont have the progressive fuel cut option activated, so to my understanding they should have to switch off at exactly the same time, right?

Voltage regulators pretty well all have short circuit protection built into them.

I tested my MS3x often before but I can't remember if it was the same as it is now.
