Post by 440roadrunner »

Recently bought a MSII kit and Jimstim, but has anyone adapted it to Holley HP?

The screw terminals can be used to connect to any ECU.

As James says, it can be used with any ECU using the screw terminals and it has been used with some OEM ones (I don't know about the Holley HP). Just don't forget to connect a 5V source (Vref) because there is no 5V supply on the JimStim and that is what powers the LEDs and the TPS, O2 and spare pots.

Heh. Well thanks. I was looking/ hoping for something a bit more specific.

EG are the pots, etc, the trigger setup adaptable to the Holley? I was hopin' someone had done this, since nobody seems to make a bench test setup for the HP.

Most ECUs use the same type of sensors, so I don't see why not.

'S what I was thinking. Got on Mouser tonight and ordered dual sets of the ECU connectors for the Holley HP. One set for this, and a spare set "IF" I ever jig up a second harness

I use a Jimstim to do a basic check on the old Lucas 4CU as fitted to the flapper injection. But made up an adaptor loom which plugs into the DB37. Saves time over using the screw connectors. Gets 5v from the Lucas unit too.
