3.9 Rover down to 12.2

Post by jsmcortina »

While I was hoping for a little better, my replacement engine ran a number of 12.2 quarter miles at a new terminal of 114.8mph over the weekend.
Megasquirt still doing the job fine.

I added a single shift-light and might upgrade to a dual colour one to give me an early warning.

Initially I was getting a lot of wheelspin and running 12.2, after reducing the launch limit and adding a nitrous delay I had reduced the spin and ran 12.2

My no-nitrous times were 0.5s better than the old 3.5 litre engine and I'd hoped to shave some off the with-nitrous times, but it wasn't to be. I didn't quite equal my best from earlier this year of 12.196 @ 112mph. Next year maybe.

If I can get pulsed proportional nitrous running I "have" to pickup those few tenths to run an eleven...?
