82 VW pickup/caddy (turbo) with pics

Post by cosmo1stgen »

Just thought Id share a few pics of my buddys 82 vw pickup/caddy. Engine is a 98 jetta 8v 2.0 aba block and crossflow head stock pistons and rods mild port job on the head. Turbo is a t3 .63ar turbine b25 compressor custom intake manifold, intercooler and exhaust manifold. Injectors are 650cc high impeadance.

Running MS 3.0 board ms1 processor ms&s extra 029T. Mods for fan control, shiftlight, tacho output, dual map, launch control. Ignition is stock 60-2 wheel using wheel decoder 2 VB921s and a mitsu/neon MSD coilpack. Hard rev limit set at 7400rpm.

The car has been running for 9 months now no problems and is driven a few times a week to work. Usually runs 14psi on 91 pump gas for the street and at the track runs 19psi on 110 leaded race gas. On the dyno at 19psi with race gas made 312HP at the wheels and 278 TQ. On race gas/slicks at the 1/4mile ran a consistant 11.70 at 118mph. Pretty good on a stock bottom end motor that was found in the dumpster! And its still going strong.
