Just idling for now, I had some (self induced) issues with my setup but it is a great relief to get it running finally.

I had this previously running (5 years ago) with a carb so I have an idea how it should run. The cam isn't very FI friendly but I will work around that.

73 440 warranty steel crank/six pack rod short block with 915 heads - 9:1 actual compression
Edelbrock ProFlo XT Throttle Body (cut to clear the hood)
Edelbrock ProFlo XT Manifold (cut to clear the hood)
Edelbrock 35 pph injectors
RMR -8 rails
Custom made -10 x -8 fuel distribution block
EDIS 8 using DiY Autotune coils mounted in valley pan
4.6L cam sensor used as a crank sensor
Home made crank sensor/alternator mount bracket
Home made 36 -1 wheel (buddy of mine has a bridgeport with an indexer)
ATi Super damper
Ford MAF sensor off a 96 E350 460cid van
SX Fuel Pump
Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator
Aeromotive sump kit modified to fit in the stock fuel tank with a top plate welded on
Innovate XD-16 wideband w/ LC-1's in both banks
Ford 3G 120A alternator
Chrysler 47RE overdrive 4 spd A/T out of 98 2500 diesel truck (I have a megashift built that I still need to incorporte into the system)
JW RB/727 conversion SFI bellhousing
Spec Rite 10" 3000rpm converter with lockup clutch
TCS full metal jacket direct drum
TCS aluminum forward drum
Chrysler LX/LC radiator fans
March serpentine pulley conversion
3.91 gears, with the tires I have it turns 2700prm @80 on the freeway

Very nice setup. I noticed the electronic transmission you're using.. What are you controlling that with?

Nice manifold setup you've got there. Oddly enough, I'm also running a Ford 4.6 throttle body on a Mopar myself - those things sure are convenient.

UnaClocker - I have a GPIO but it isn't setup yet - what trans are you running in your Omni? A604 or ??? I might be able to get you some info on it if you want.

Matt - Thanks for your help on the MS-II, The best thing about the ford throttle bodies is that they are ball bearing and come with a good TPS. I think I got these from summit for $70 each on special.

Ball bearing, that sounds cool, might help keep the boost from blowing out through the shafts.. That's the problem I have with the stock ones on my cars.. Not a very big boost leak though, so I've just ignored it..
Yeah, I'm running the 41te which used to be known as the A604. I'm controlling it with a GPIO, but not with Lance's firmware. I'm using James's firmware on it, he just added support for the 41te to it a couple weeks ago, and it's working great so far, with just a couple minor glitches that he's working on fixing the next time he gets a chance to work on the code. From what I've found, it sounds like the 47re is controlled quite a bit differently than the 41te, but it actually sounds like it'd be easier in the end. The 41te has all of it's solenoids doing two things, the 47re just has more solenoids and seems like they all only do one thing. I think that'd be a lot simpler in the firmware.

send me a pm, I can send you some 41 te info....

Ok.. I think I've got everything on my wiki, http://www.neonsquirt.com/41te but I'd be happy to see the info you've got and fill in any more details we haven't already found. :)

The engine compartment is looking more complete now. I actually was able to put the hood back on...

I've got over 2000 miles on the car now with the MS3 and I'm still really happy with it. Drove it to L.A. for spring fling ~800 miles round trip. It cruises along at 80-90 nice on the freeway. Next up I need to add some fuel pump speed control, I finally boiled the fuel in the tank on Sunday for the first time.

Nice setup!
What kind of mileage do you get?

Any pics of how you mounted the Ford alternator?
I'm running a 95 amp 3G on my daily 73 Dart. Had to make an extra bracket for the alt.

On the trip to LA I averaged around 16mpg driving between 80 and 90 mph the whole way there. I'm hoping I can get a little more out of it but I need some chassis dyno time to get the mileage dialed in. For the alternator, I used the standard alternator pivot bolt location. I made the adjuster bracket on the bottom. The bracket is tied into the fuel pump mount (since I'm not using it), timing cover and the water pump. It also mounts the crank sensor for the EDIS. These pictures are an early mock up but you can see how it lays out

Man, I'd be looking at a fuel cooler (small liquid/air radiator) if my fuel got anywhere near that hot!
Actually, I do run one anyway.

Looks spectacular, I'm starting my research for a similar build. 70 Cuda with a 440. I intend to use the edelbrock intake as well, but i'd like to go full sequential too.

Awesome build. Did you ever get the trans controller working?

I still have not gotten the megashift working yet. Seems like every time I get close to setting it up, I end up working on something else. Right now it's a bigger radiator, which means I have to redo my intake routing and also spent some time getting the cooling fan wiring cleaned up. Fixed some pulley misalignment problems too. Hopefully soon, maybe by the end of the year I'll have it sorted....
