177 mph at the Ohio Mile - in car video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuUViwZj ... e=youtu.be
We've put up an in car video of Jerry's Nissan 240SX going 177 mph at the Ohio Mile this weekend, establishing a new record for the class. The motor is a Toyota 2JZ-GTE with an MS3-Pro ECU. We used RaceRender to overlay part of the data log - as you can see, most of the run was at 1/3 throttle due to traction issues. It's able to put 758 hp to the wheels, but the tires are having trouble getting it to the pavement. We think there's way more in this car with some suspension improvements.

The car was having so many traction issues we couldn't run it at full throttle. It's running smaller tires than my wife's Camry in an effort to minimize rolling friction, but that is right now keeping it from putting all the power it can make to the pavement.

The way the car was wandering about at 175mph had me squirming on my seat just watching the video.

We're going to double check the speed sensor setup, but our data log indicated we had a 177 mph front wheel speed and a 192 mph rear wheel speed at the traps. Jerry's going to put some bigger tires on there (it's currently using 225 mm wide drag radials) and make some tweaks to the rear suspension geometry improve things.
