418" Small Block Oldsmobile on E85
It's taken some time but here it is on initial fire up with the Racetronix 160lb injecotrs. Still have to clean up the hoses and wiring but got it running on E85 with a Megasquirt MS3X.

It's a 13.25:1 Small block with a "Health cam" 280/288 @ .050 with .762 lift. The plan is to debug the combination, swap to lower compression heads and turbo friendly cam and then bolt on the 88mm turbo.
Once I get it down the track I'll keep this updated with how it's going

Pete! Nice to see another Olds guy here. I'm still dealing with problems on my E85 conversion but most of that has been having a busy life and not getting out to the garage as much as I used to...
Hope to see you at GLD sometime, as your car always ran well.

what size cam are you going with
Re: 418" Small Block Oldsmobile on E85
For the turbo grind it is in the 258@.050 range and .700+lift. It idles at 800 rpm and pulls 15in of vacuum. I worked with my builder John at Rocket Racing to pick it out. we made some pulls to 6000 rpm and it made 580hp and close to 540lbft of torque. even without the turbo it would make one heck of a street engine.

That's a big cam. What kind of boost numbers have you had it up to? I use 160 lb injectors also on E85. Do you run knock sensors? I have had my motor to 19 lb of boost at 22 degrees

Sorry, it's been a while since I've been online. Still getting things sorted out on my end. On the dyno it spooled to 14psi at 4600 rpm, that is what spring I had in the wastegate. This was with pretty much no tuning as I needed to get it off the pump and into the car.

Pete, word is that there will be a BOP race at Great Lakes on June 28th - I'm going to try to get my car out to it (I need new tires and some new safety gear). Hope to see you out there.
