This thread Spans the period between 2012 and current. I was unable to locate the original thread, I imagine it was on the old ms runs forum. I started off with the 1998 ZX2 and that was running megasquirt 2, however the computer was damaged by a lightning strike during a thundersnow storm. I replaced megasquirt 2 with megasquirt 3 in early 2013. The 1998 vehicle was then involved in a collision with deer, and I had to recover anything worth recovering out of the vehicle. I then purchased the current vehicle in April of 2013, and transferred everything over to this new vehicle. In June 2014, I installed the current turbocharger. I started off at spring pressure which is 4 PSI. I ran this for a while while getting the fuel table in a workable state for boost. I then started working on boost control, and gradually upped the boost pressure. I am now running boost by gear. I gradually increase boost through the gear range, ending off at 17 PSI in fourth and fifth gears. The video I and posting up was shot at the end of July, and I was running 14 PSI of boost at the time.
Interesting fact, the other vehicle I am racing, the yellow car, is also MS3 powered. This vehicle is a naturally aspirated build with individual throttle bodies. It is restricted on what modifications can be done, because it is an SCCA autocross car. This vehicle has much potential yet, we just need to get the tuning done right. This is just a matter of time.

That announcer has no idea what flat shift really is. He keeps calling it a backfire. The crowd response was unexpected, after my runs every time I was driving to the staging lanes to get ready for another run, I would get flagged down by other racers who wanted to know what I had done to this car. It is kind of interesting how nobody pays attention into what is perceived as a disposable, or cheap vehicle, until it does something completely unexpected.

Only bike guys seem to understand it. Historically (before quieter 1.3.x flat shift) I was often told "your car really scares the crows".)hardline wrote:That announcer has no idea what flat shift really is.
