Baja 2 seater Dune Buggy with 800cc 3 cylinder

Post by prof315 »

Well I just finished a fairly simple but different Microsquirt install. The victim is a Baja 2 seat dune buggy that has a Chinese 800cc copy of a Geo Metro motor in it. It had a Motronic ECU that was poorly located and acting up (engine wouldn't rev over 3000 rpms). With the exception of adding a Bosch 137 ignition module to drive the coil, I used all of the stock sensors and such. RPM input was super easy as it used a 3 window Bosch style hall effect distributor.

Man, do you have some pictures and data about this engine and your installation?

I see the original post is fairly old, but would love to learn more about your project.
