Post by MWPau »

Quite a unique setup i think...
  • Camry +1998 5S-FE (2.2L) block, crank & oil-pump
Caldina ST215 head, intake manifold, TPS & idle control servo
    GSC 268 cams
    CP forged pistons 10.5:1 CR
    Celica ST205 exhaust manifold
    Celica ST205 CT20b (CT26c2) turbo
    ID1000 injectors on custom rail
PWM controlled Walbro 255lph fuel pump
    Caldina ST215 COP's
MS controlled PWM CL boost valve
Sensors are:
  • Camry 5S-FE crank position VR sensor (using Caldina ST215 crank pulley/tooth-wheel)
Caldina ST215 cam position VR sensor
    Caldina ST215 MAP sensor
GM intake air, coolant, oil temp sensors
    Caldina ST215 TPS
    GM FlexFuel sensor
    Innovate LC-1 WB02
    GM oil, fuel pressure sensors
Factory hall effect gearbox speed sensor
    X,Y,Z accelerometers (on TinyIOx inputs)
Megasquirt specs are: Megasquirt 3 + MS3X + Knock board + RTC board + TinyIOx
Currently running FW 1.3.3

Thanks :)

Im not sure the MSQ would be of much use to anyone else as yet, as its half setup for flex fuel, but the ULP maps are not done.

Here is a photo of the LCD dash ive made.
Its a single board LCD + ARM SoC running Linux (buildroot).
The dash is configured with XML files and uses standard font files & PNG images.
It can display dial gauges, etc, but i havent got around to designing any decent images in Photoshop yet (takes a lot of time).

The dash looks great. Do you have any information or links you used in setting that up? I've been thinking about setting up a small LCD to display a few parameters without having the laptop connected.

Also, I'm assuming you used racerender for the video. How did you manage to get a speed signal input? Are you using a gps, or did you somehow manage to use the stock vehicle speed sensor?

The display is one of these: https://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFA921TS
Its running all custom software that ive spent quite some time developing.

Yup, RaceRunder for the video, speed comes from the factory hall effect sensor on the gearbox.
