BMW 535i -89 m30b35 Turbo running MS2 DIYPNP

Post by jompa_a »

I have been helping a friend of mine with his car for some time and it is starting to get close to being done. (note that all the kpa values is absolute)

Original bottom end with Athena Cooperring headgasket and ARP head studs.
Original intake and exhaust manifolds with the rear flipped upside down and home made piping to the turbo and 46mm external wastegate.
Holset hx45 china turbo and 300mmx800mmx100mm intercooler
Using original wireloom, Wasted spark, Launch control and Boost control working great. It's easily building 140kpa on launch.
3" exhaust and 4 puck clutch disk.

230kpa boost and pulls like a motherf****r @21 degrees of timing and running on E85.
Spools the turbo too boost from 2500rpm. "Too small turbo" as it bottoms out.
Still a very good intake temp though. Haven't seen anything above 25degrees celsius (with an outside temp of 20degreesc)

Still have alot of tuning to be done and a dyno session to get the ignigion timing right.

Shoutout to the MS Extra forum for awesome support. No one named, No one forgotten. :D
Greetings from Sweden /Jonas
