8.53@167.6 1973 240Z, LS3 and 4L80e

Been working on this 73 Z since febuary. Car is back halfed with 4 link and a 9 inch, 4L80e transmission with a brake and 3600 triple disc converter, and engine is a 2010 LS3 with custom cam, ported heads, my own tuned intake and 12.5-1 compression. It running on MS3pro and microsquirt, along with egtcan setup

Vid is from breaking the rings in, car runs very well at this point, and had zero issues while running. Tranny needs some tuning but all in all very responsive. Car is getting an alignemt next Saturday and wheel balanced, then Ill head back to the 1/8th mile from some shake down runs then hit up PIR the weekend after

Things went well yesterday

Ill see about getting some video from my son tomorrow. Was able to make 6 passes down the 1/4 at Portland international raceway tonight. It gets dark so early I made no chassis adjustments, just air pressure. Car needs more converter for sure, I stall out on the brake at 3100 and car runs a 1.6/1.7 sixty but falls on its on the launch, then comes to life. I'm crossing the finish about 6000rpm so I can go a little deeper with the gears, to maybe a 4.30 with a 29 inch slick and run the 28 inch et streets at the 1/8th mile and just run that gear as an all setup

Off the trailer the car made a 10.8 pass at like 132, then ran a best of 10.7 at 132, then more 10.8 passes till I started running out of fuel in the race tank. Burnt up 2 gallons of 116 in 6 passes which means I also burnt 2 gallons of 92 for a total of 4 gallons in 1.5 miles!!!!

All in all I'm 110% happy with how this car is feeling right now and can't wait to get the converter restalled

I'm very good friends with the dyno operator down there. it is true they don't like to take on any projects that others have started, just not megasquirt. Al my stuff had a god street tune and we're just fine tuning. If you can get to that point in sure they would be happy to help. It's the gremlins in a fresh install that can make a dyno day go bad!

Over the spring time I added an S480 to this car and some other internal goodies and finally was able to get it to the track to only need to make licensing passes. This is my final license run and excited to get back after getting it to work on launches and turn the wick up

https://youtu.be/kGe9LJkop-k 9.46@148 another pass was 9.50@152

Went to Portland oregons 1/4 mile track. Super slick for the first half. Wouldn't hold 7psi without pedaling, but then held 18psi on the back half.

Ran a 9.74 at 161.5mph. Car is making some power out the back door

Earlier in the day, I was testing at an 1/8 mile asphalt track and went 6.15 at 127. Portland was running 6.50's at 118 ish

I'm assuming your build started out n/a and then you added the turbo correct?

Yes, I should have turbod it in the beginning! I swapped pistons which required a rebalance, which meant my 34 mile motor needed to come all the way apart again! Glad I did though, the power this car has is pheniminal
