Despite having the second smallest engine in the field (other team car had the smallest engine) a Wolseley Hornet Mini with a BMC A-series engine block and a head transplanted from a BMW K1100 motorcycle took 1st in it's class and 18th overall at the Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA, USA. Fuel and ignition were controlled by a Microsquirt ECU. Never skipped a beat in 14 hours of racing, spread over 2 days. Article linked below gives an overview with pictures.
