1975 Volvo 164

Post by skalor »

Intermittently worked on this for the last year but finally got all the bugs worked out. Had a lot of sync loss issues with a 24+1 trigger combo so I switched to a 24-2 setup and it's working great so far. The car had a Bosch D-jet system but I tossed the low impedance injectors and made a new rail. Going to add an Eaton M90 with an adapter I recently received but going to enjoy it for a while first. I should probably mention that this car was sitting on the edge of a field for nine years. haha

20 years ago I often caught a ride to work with a friend who had the same car, even the same colour.

Forgot to add a picture of the engine bay. Going to lose the A/C compressor and run the M90 using a dual v-belt setup in that location eventually.

Was it fuel injected or carbureted?

Long time ago but I think it was injected and automatic. Not a common car in Australia.
