Gaugedesigner API change in progress

Questions specific to Megatunix - alternate tuning software that runs on unix and windows.
Note that Megatunix is obsolete.

Gaugedesigner API change in progress

Post by djandruczyk »

For those who've made their own gauges. I have changed (i.e. BROKE) the api in the gauges XML, in order to enhance it's functionality, specifically related to tickmarks. So if possible, halt any development you are doing on gauges until 0.9.8 is released. All gauges that ship with megatunix will be updated to use the new API.

The change is to allow multiple sets of tickmarks (as many as you want) across any arbritrary ranges that you want, which will allow creation of gauges that use split-scales, like Vac/Boost gauges, thus similar to something like:

My gauge (at the end) is inspired by this Autometer gauge:

The code is already completed and working, and I am in the process of converting the gauges distributed with megatunix to the new API.

I m also investigating the possibility of enhancing the gauges with the use of simple polygons, and multiple needle choices which add a nice touch of authenticity...

sorry for any inconvenience...
