Anyone running it on IRIX? If not I will test it out and get help with it from the SGI comunity. Being POSIX compatible should make it work.
I will use linux if I must but something about have a beast like the Octane2 in the garage is appealing.
I am also curious about the opengl support.
This is going to be used on a 1971 Fiat 500. Upgrading to 600cc cylinder head with high conpression pistons. Should be sweet.
Cheers,

Re: Megatunix and SGI IRIX?
If all the pre-reqs compile on it (might take some effort) it should be doable. i.e. if gnome works on IRIX then megatunix should, as they share most of the same prereqs.Rev.Bubba wrote:Anyone running it on IRIX? All SGI's had openGL to the best of my knowledge (been ages since I had my hands on an SGI, was old octane's, some O2's and a Fire engine red cad workstaition (the kickass red cad workstations that cost more than most cars at the time )

Well the GTK and GTK2 packages can be installed so I will try it. I will play with it once the Stimulator arrives and I will let you know. I have always wanted a better excuse to have the SGI in the garage other than surfing the net for info.
Thanks for contributing Megatunix to the comunity. I was a bit sad for a bit that I was going to have to run Windows once I learned about Megasquirt.

Minim requirement is GTK+ 2.6 or newer, gtkglext-1.x or newer, libglade-2.x , but if at all possible see if you can find 2.10.x or GTK+ or better, as you get cairo rendering (full antialiasing) which makes things render oh so much nicer.Rev.Bubba wrote:Well the GTK and GTK2 packages can be installed so I will try it.
