Hey. After adjusting the thermometers in easytherm, Megatune gets you to put the .inc files so it can find them.
Is there something similar I should be doing to get the correct readings with megatunix?
Cheers

You should put "override" lookuptable files (things you want to override over the defaults) into ~/.MegaTunix/Lookuptables.johntramp wrote:I replaced 2 files in /usr/local/share/MegaTunix/LookupTables which seemed to do the trick. I don't know what I am supposed to do with the3rd one, airdenfactor.inc?
cltfactor and matfactor are for coolant and air temp sensors, airdenfactor I think is for MAP sensors, so you can ignore that if you are using either a stock 250 KPA sensor, or 300/400 kpa sensor.
as long as you use the same names as the originals in /usr/local/share/MegaTunix/Lookuptables, for your personal override's in ~/.MegaTunix/LookupTables/ then things will "just work" (well they should)

airdenfactor.inc is not for MAP sensors, but is the air density correction factor due to changes in manifold air temp. Regardless, it's only used as an internal lookup table for MS, and is likely not needed by the tuning software.djandruczyk wrote:cltfactor and matfactor are for coolant and air temp sensors, airdenfactor I think is for MAP sensors, so you can ignore that if you are using either a stock 250 KPA sensor, or 300/400 kpa sensor.

If on linux it should be /usr/local/share/MegaTunix/Lookuptables or /usr/share/MegaTunix/Lookuptablessuperpilun wrote:For the life of me I cannot find this folder. I'm using 0.9.14djandruczyk wrote:

Is OS-X, it can be in /sw/local/share/MegaTunix/Lookuptables
On windows it'll be in C:\program files\MegaTunix\.dist\Lookuptables

One other bit. 0.9.14 lets you choose/swap the lookuptables manually so if you have user generated ones (i.e. easytherm), stick them in the location defined below depending on your OS and use the gui selector to pick the it and mtx will remember the value for the next time around.superpilun wrote:For the life of me I cannot find this folder. Where to stick custom lookuptables:
windows: C:\program files\megatunix\.MegaTunix\LookupTables
OS-X/Linux ~/.MegaTunix/LookupTables (~/ or "tilde slash" means your home directory, and is VALID syntax in the shell)
If you stick them in the system folders when mtx is updated, they could be erased, which is never fun.
