Encountered Problem

Ok, I own a Macbook OS.X 10.4.9 encountered following errors...what's up???
Error: Target com.apple.activate returned: Image error: /usr/X11R6/include/DPS/ColorSB.h already exists and does not belong to a registered port. Unable to activate port XFree86.
Error: The following dependencies failed to build: XFree86 gtk2 atk glib2 gettext expat libiconv pkgconfig libpng zlib pango Xft2 fontconfig freetype xrender render cairo tiff jpeg
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

If you require anymore information, please let me know and I will try to be as thorough as possible.

Did you install X11 as part of the howto?
In the pre-requisites it says:
- Apple's X11 (it's on your OS-X install DVD, MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL IT)

If that isn't installed, it can be why you are getting the above error.

no, it's installed (Apple's X11)...but I started code...
sudo port install gtkglext libglade2, one more time and it went much longer this time, but then errored out again with the following error...
configure: error: Cannot find GLX header

Can you make sense of this?

Not really, as I can NOT replicate it. Did you install Xcode 2.4 or did you use an OLDER version??

I've done the install 3 times on my mini (from a clean wipe and load of the machine) using my own howto and have yet to make it fail. I'll try again today but I think you are missing/skipping steps, or you have other stuff installed on your machine from other tools/apps that are conflicting..

Try punching in your error messages into google.
