Saving some time while making custom gauges?

Questions specific to Megatunix - alternate tuning software that runs on unix and windows.
Note that Megatunix is obsolete.

UPDATE:
In CVS I have completed the work 100% on gauge "alerts". When i get this feature implemented in the gauge designer (EDIT: Done!) You'll be able to configure alerts pretty much the same way as you setup the warning color-span ranges. You specify a range, a color, an inset and a linewidth, and it draws a circle when that point is triggered. Multiple alerts are allowed (no limit) so you can have different effects if you so desire.

The "test sweep" in the gaugedesigner will also show the alerts so you can get a feel of what it'll look like.

I hope to have the designer changes into CVS sometime tomorrow.

EDIT:
gaugedesigner updated to handle creation of alerts, and committed to CVS (11:34 PM EST)

Seems to work well

Fixed a few bugs in the gaugedesigner as well.

anyone capable of building CVS to test?

David,

Was this a general question or to the team of developers? I looked out at the repository and see no instruction on the build environment or build instructions, so I am assuming that you are asking the other developers.

I saw that you added up the "Honda" gauges and in your notes you say you fixed an issue in the dash that I sent to you - what was the problem?

Thank you,

Kirk

This was a question to those "power users" of megatunix who are running linux or OS-X, who can build a version of megatunix from CVS.

The How to install megatunix under Ubuntu thread gives instruction on how to install a CVS edition and the info is applicable to linux and OS-X.

As for windows, All my windows builds are actually compiled in linux (via crossgcc), so windows only people are out of luck for CVS builds.

Your dash had a few incorrect datasources bound to the gauges, and you didn't have any celsius scaled gauges, so I made some based upon your designs.

In terms of developers, there's only 1, me (though there are contributors who make gauges, dashes and even code sometimes). There are a few power users however who have the ability to build from CVS and this post was intended for them.
