Boost tables bug?

Post by Cuz »

Using MS1 extra 029yx

The Y axis states it's values are/should be in ADC, however they are limited to 100 leading me to believe this is actually % not ADC. Megasquirt also uses % and not ADC.

I was looking into this a bit more and I'm a little confused on what the TPS values in the table actually are. There is a value limit in these cells of 255, however the table label suggests the value should be in %.

Can you please confirm/discuss the logic around the TPS values for these tables?

The values in the ECU are stored as TPSADC, but I have the tab configured to use TPSpercent as that's easier to wrap your head around and more intuitive to think of a range of 0-100, instead of 0-255.

The tab shows things and TPSADC and things are OK nad work as they should (AFAIK).

This is in 0.9.16. previous versiosn DID have a bug.

Ok, cheers for that

On a side note, i've often wondered what the TPC % should show when setup properly. ATM my range is from 25 when the throttle is closed to 85 when open. Should it be 0-100 or should I just adapt the values in the table to the 25-85% range i currently have?

25 to 85 is ok as long as it's smooth. just adjust the bins to suit your TPS.

You can check that on a meter as well. if you connect a meter between ground and signal out on your TPS with the ignition on, the value will probbaly swing from 1.25 volts to 4.25 volts in your case, which is fine.
