Yup. Beware though at low RPM's the sampling time for the TTM is long (up to 2-4 seconds per datablock). the first block when cranking will likely have some bogus data, so it's best to do a capture while cranking for a few seconds...

Do you have MS-I-Extra and a wheel mode selected? If not you won't see a pattern. Also check trigger logger as well. (though should show something no matter what. Typically when the ecu is set to wheel mode, and you have a wheel signal, the tooth logger will show the wheel pattern.I-w wrote:what if nothing shows in the logger?
i do show RPM when cranking.
In other cases when using a non generic wheel mode the trigger logger is usefull to see the pattern of incoming input triggers. Honestly I'm not sure the exact difference between the two, james murray (jsmcortina) would know as he wrote that part in the firmware..
From james:
Tooth logger logs teeth, trigger logger logs time between decoded triggers. (i.e. your trigger teeth or a dizzy input)

i probably will not see anything because i am running EDIS-4 module and a 36 -1 trigger wheel..

all grounds go to the exact same location on the engine block.

thanks for all your help and fast responses.

If you select "trigger logger" you SHOULD see a display, but it should be just a set of consistent sized pips, showing the trigger times from the EDIS module's PIP signal, as long as rpm is constant. As rpm changes the vertical height should change And/OR the scale (notice the left side, as the TTM autoscales).I-w wrote:i probably will not see anything because i am running EDIS-4 module and a 36 -1 trigger wheel..

i must have somthing wrong. i do not get a signal at all when running the trigger. i get rpm and avance is working properly. when i swapped the sensor wires. i get pipes even when the engine is not running or cranking.
im 90% sure it is functioning properly.
thanks for all your time.

I don't quite follow you. IF you get pips even when the engine isn't runing, are you also seeing RPM? (random most likely). In this case you have NOISE in your ignition input or on the ecu power/ground connections and need to resolve that.
