I am hoping some one can help me. I am trying to install this set up on my MAc and am stuck please help. I have read "The BEST way to install MegaTunix on OS-X" and attempted to get it working but it is not. here is what I have done so far. I installed X11, I dowloaded and installed darwinports as recommended and then followed these directions:
"Open a Terminal (Mac HD -> Applications->Utilities ->Terminal. Drag that to the dock as you'll need it later)"
when Terminal opens I paste in:
sudo port -d selfupdate
sudo port install gtkglext libglade2
And then after I get "sudo: port: command not found" I have tried to look through the "The BEST way to install MegaTunix on OS-X" thread to figure it out my self but after several hours of fighting with it I am at a loss and need some help. I am good with my computer new to code based applications. please tell me what I am doing wrong

Re: Need help installing MegaTunix on my Mac
if you get "comand not found" you completely missed the step on downloading/installing macports/darwinports. go back and re-read the howto and start over.
Prorequisites:
- OS-X box (Only Tested on PPC 10.4 (Tiger) on a G4 mini) but should work on Intel Macs as of 10.4 as darwinports has a universal binary)
- Xcode 2.4 (free download from apple) http://developer.apple.com/tools/xcode/
- Apple's X11 (it's on your OS-X install DVD, MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL IT)
Download darwinports from http://svn.macosforge.org/repository/ma ... 1-10.4.dmg and install it.
Open a Terminal (Mac HD -> Applications->Utilities ->Terminal. Drag that to the dock as you'll need it later)

Re: Need help installing MegaTunix on my Mac
thanks for the help!!! but I don't think that is the problem. I did download darwin and install it. In fact when I open a terminal I get the message Welcome to Darwin! When I was first having this problem I even tried installing macports but that didn't change anything. I went back, today reinstalled darwin, but I am still having the same problems.

Re: Need help installing MegaTunix on my Mac
is is possible that I am having issues because I do not have a new enough version of Xcode I have 2.0 and could not find 2.4. I downloaded 3.1 but it will not work with OS x 10.4

check your OS-X DVD...
I'll be updated and writing a new OS-X howto possibly this weekend, since I finally got my G4 mini unboxed and hooked up..

thanks for the help. the tiger upgrade CD is where I got 2.0. I am sure I am doing something incorrectly but I can not tell for the life of me what that is.
