I know its probably a huge pain in the ass, but are you about to include some sort of "log" gauge / hot button for the dash ?
Have a little gauge, that is a solid colour for when its not recording, but when you click it, it changes to another user selected colour and it logs to the user selected location until the disk is full, power is off, or you click the gauge again. Say a memory stick or whatever.
I know its a lot to ask for, but because i have the dash in full screen, its REALLY annoying to swap back an forth and fiddle with things so i can log some data. It would make it much easier this way for many users im sure.
Hope something like this is possible.

Megatunix is logging ALL THE TIME by default. So go to the datalogging tab and click the middle button nearly the bottom. "Write Internal Log to disk"
IT can actually log to multiple streams at once, the internal default + a user specified log.

Never tested for full disk. I expect at that point the OS will crash among other things..Quan-Time wrote:Thanks, ill give it a go.. If the disk is full, non existant, write protected, it doesnt throw any errors ? or just wait until the disk is free to be used ?
Disk space is cheap these days..

Re: Feature Request
I use a CF card as a HDD. I have a CF-> sata converter. Works fine. I log to a USB stick for easy removal / file transfer. Thats the reason i asked. I might inadvertently have a bunch of crap on there that i forget to get rid of.
It can log in quiet mode ? so no extra dialog windows popup / something im not expecting ? (bike is currently off the road for further work, so i cant test it currently).

megatunix's internal log is in RAM, not disk. You can save it at any time (or not at all) using the dataqlogging tab.
It would take a day or longer of continual logging to get memory usage up high enough to cause issues.
