Some settings not being saved / read correctly (FIXED!)

Questions specific to Megatunix - alternate tuning software that runs on unix and windows.
Note that Megatunix is obsolete.

Some settings not being saved / read correctly (FIXED!)

Post by woza »

Hi. MT isn't saving my temperature setting of Celsius - it keeps reverting to Fahrenheit. Secondly, it isn't saving the fuel parameters. Keeps reverting to 1 cylinder, 1 injector and 12 squirts per cycle. I have flashed the correct parmeters with Megatune and verified they are burned correctly but MT still thinks they are the default settings. I haven't found any other settings that don't save so far.

Running latest git (0.4-modular) on OS X

Thanks

That's not exact. use megatunix and show me what's in the text VERSION field. the signature can be the same for multiple "compatible" firmware releases....

I am having this same exact issue with the "1 cylinder, 1 injector, and 12 squirts of fuel per cycle" on a MS1 system running MS/Extra 029y4 with the Megatunix modular_0.4 code tree. Hopefully Dave is looking into this problem.

I have FIXED this issue, and is in the modular_0.4 push from 2/20/2011 16:50 EST. the bug was due to an API change that wasn't fully propagated through the code (i.e. coder error)

All controls that used "complex" math expressions (which isn't too many), were affected.

This has fixed the fuel params page but still not saving my temp setting. Defaults to fahrenheit all the time...

Just fixed that too, 17:48 EST

NOTE: may take one full load/save routine before it takes full effect, you may see output in console about "BUG couldn't figure out temp conversion!" Those should go away after a close/reopen.

Yep, it filled Terminal like "War & Peace" first time and then it went away next time, as you said! :D

I am still getting this output everytime I run Megatunix. Is that normal or should it have gone away?

It should have gone away. Try changing the temp scale in megatunix (General Tab) to something else and back and then closing and reopening megatunix and see if it goes away.
