Firmware not detected

Post by darrens »

Hello,

Hope you can help, after a not using the tuning s/w/car for awhile then HD failure and an outdated backup I decided to install linux and give Megatunix a go. All good, however Megatunix connects but is unable to detect the firmware revision.

I have attached the MTXlog for info, I have been away, car been in storage so its ages since I've used MS.

Thanks for your help

You need to provide WHAT FIRMWARE you are running, as well as the OS and MegaTunix version or Git hash.

That's not a "mainstream" firmware, hence I never created support for it due to it being a non-general release edition.
Mtx has support for MS2-Extra 2.1.0, 2.1.0d, 2.1.0e, 3.0.3w, 3.0.3y, 3.0.x, 3.1.0, 3.1.1_17, 3.1.x.als, and 3.2.1 as of the latest Git revision.

I'm having the same issue. I'm running Ubuntu and Megatunix with the latest git revision compiled today (26 November 2012).

Upgraded to MS2/Extra 3.2.4 today (which I assume went fine as there were no issues with the installer). When I went to run Megatunix, it gave the "could not find firmware" error. I can provide a log if that'd be helpful tomorrow...
