New Drawings for the Nippondenso CAS

Postby joeyg1973 » Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:54 pm

So I wanted to squeeze in all the components of the second VR conditioner circuit onto the MS2v3.0 boards proto area. I wound up redrawing the schematic and then using a PCB layout program to figure out what the traces would be. This is the first time I have done anything like this but the results wound up to be better than I thought. I intend to make my traces using a "Circuit Writer" pen. You can find it here http://store.caig.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1770/.f?sc=2&category=174

Anyway everything in red is the traces and the green line is an external wire. Normally these are the top (red) and bottom (green) of the circuit board. I figured I might as well let someone else use this rather than have them have to figure it out themselves.

Believe it or not I figured out all of this out first on graph paper, then I moved on to the computer to double check what I had done. I got it right on the first try. Yes I am not being humble as I am d*** impressed with what I did. :)

Couldn't fit the schematic in the last document.

Those drawings should come in handy. :D

Have you built a circuit using those diagrams? Have you tried out that Pen, did it work?

Cheers

The pen didn't work. The area is too small. If the pen had a small fine ball point I think it would have worked, but it actually just has a stick valve at the tip that when you push it down it lets out a bit of ink. It isn't fine at all... it isn't that accurate either. What I did wind up doing was using the leads off of the resistors and caps to solder the circuit together. I tested the connectivity of everything and then coated liberally with red insulating varnish. It's not pretty but it does work. Take a look at the final result.
