Help me understand Table Switching

Post by firefoxx04 »

Currently my ECU is on its way to DIY to get a few things added. One of them is table switching (for a hardware switch). Im sure the wiring will be easy but the actual implementation of it is what I want to figure out.

Below is a picture of what I see when I open the Table Switching window. I want to have a physical switch that I turn on and off that will switch to my second fuel map and spark map (for switching from 93 to e85).

Switch Source seems to be an obvious one, Hardware. What about switch location? What does "local" mean? I picked remote because that enabled me to choose a remote port which I assume DIY will specify which port to use after they install table switching

My second worry is that when I open ignition map 1 and ignition map 3 (ignition map 3 gets enable when I turn switching one) they both say "Spark advance table1" as shown in the picture below (one on the right is spark map 3 while the left is spark map 1. Spark map 2 is still disabled.)

Both tables are identical right now but I can change one without the other being effected.. so i assume its okay, I just want to make sure. Also, when I turn table switching "on" with the switch will it be switching to fuel map 3 and ignition map 3 with the settings I have posted above?

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest that you download and read the manuals. They describe these settings.
