Is there a Table Active Indicator gauge?

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Is there a Table Active Indicator gauge?

Post by T3Bunny »

TunerStudio v3.0.28 and MS3 pre-1.3a9 (Yeah its been a while since I updated code lol...) I have the MS3 with expansion boards. My Tuner Studio is the middle tier registered version.

I would like an on-screen indicator for what VE and Spark tables are active, but I can't see anything in the pre-made gauges for this.... I have two things going on and want to do some "crappy gas" tuning. First, I have table switching activated on the Tableswitch input. I have the VE and AFR tables working on this input.

This is the main information I am after, and would like a gauge for.

Second, I have a knob on dash that lets me dial up/down ignition timing. This is working on the blend curve, and I have a gauge on-screen for this. I would LIKE to have spark table switching AND blending using all 4 tables, but thats a discussion for a different thread lol.... I have tried to get that working several times over the years without any luck....

Back to the gauge, the only selections that change (with the switch) in the "Gauge Properties" drop down menu are "porteh" and "porth6". Are these even related to the Tableswitch input? If so, porth6 kinda looks like it might be the better choice to use???

I finally found the magic search bullets to run through the search engine here and throw at Google. I came up with a couple old posts that were relevant, but didn't come to a working conclusion.

The porth6 search got me the rest of the way. That is the TableSwitch input. I was seeing 1 with my switch in the normal position, and 0 with it on (I guess) in the "crappy gas" position. Whatever the case nice binary on/off kinda indicator. Still wasn't exactly what I wanted.

So I copied one of the indicators below the main gauges, the SDcard logging one. I then reset the parameters for the porth6, renamed it etc. Now I could access the on and off text boxes. I did need to select a color for off (I went with red).

Anyways I thought I would post this up since there is a working solution in at least the regular registration version. Making or modifying gauges is NOT intuitive. It would be worth the upgrade cost to me, if the Ultra version makes this easier.
