Hi All,

Ok I have downloaded and popped the Tuner Studio onto my PC

It seems to have loaded fine, but I cannot work out how to get it to work ?

Does it have to be connected to a MT EFI to fire up, all I get is a initail loading screen and not much else have played with the tabs and no difference, I have tried opening up (off line) my lastest MS V3 029V MSQ and nothing

Help, I know I am stupid, don't worry about telling me that, how to use this new software would however be hugely appreacited !

What do you have now, the default dash?

If you right click on the dash, a popup menu will offer
File --> "Load Dashboard"

Then you will get a few dashboards to choose from. You do have to have a project open first.

It will be nice when there are help files

If I remember right you are running Hires firmware... Right

I think I forgot to include the HiRes version of the dash boards, so you may have only the Default Dash to choose from.

However, the Hi-Res dash'es are compatible with the extra 29 dashes, so you can open those fine. But, those will be filtered by default.
To Open, when you are looking at Open Dash dialog.
Click on the "Other" Checkbox
Browse to the install dir + Dash
By default on Windows: C:\Program Files\EFIAnalytics\TunerStudioMS\Dash\
and select:
"MSnS-1 Extra LED.dash"

It will prompt you about a non matching signature, but ignore it.

When you exit the app it will prompt you to save the dashboard changes, tell it yes and it will save with your real signature to avoid future warnings.

You can also go into Designer Mode with a right click and make the dash look any way you want

I will now go try in on the onboard Tablet in my truck

Couple of things...

I have Ms1 S n E V3 029V
Can't see 029V in the EFI list, is the 029Q ok to use ?

Also when I loaded Tuner Studio on my Main home PC I got an 2Auto Upload", my in onboard PC in the truck does have internet capabilities, how can I get the upload to a saved file etc, or do I really need it / whats in it

I believe 29q - 29w all used the same 29q ini file.

I can't remember off hand what it was that changed in the 0.95 - 0.951, a good bit actually I think for a 0.001 number increase , there should be a new release soon enough anyway.

Well I'm usinmg 029V and the temp is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off

Any chance of adding (or telling me how to add) 029V to the program ?

Other than that have found the the WUE files give an error message of not being there

But love the LED dash

There was a bug in the conversion to C, in .95 it was still in F, in .951the conversion is wrong.

It is right now, I just need a new release.

The only dif on the new is the signature. Which dashboards show up in the drop down is filtered based on the firmware you are running. It is a pretty simplistic filter that looks at the beginning of the signature. For some reason they changed the signature format with 29y

Old:
MSnS-extra format 029q *********
new:
MS1/Extra format 029y3 *********

So I added duplicate dash files but with the different signature.

So when the fix comes out will 029Q work as well as the 029V I have or can I do something to resolve ?

what about the WUE not being there is that a thing that wil be fixed with the next release or is this as issue of 029Q vs 029V

Is there a new download with the changes your mentioning built in, or is this done via an update ?

The reason I ask is that the main PC I use is in my truck and has no internet support, so I need to shove everything in via the USB port, which means I have to save them rather than take an autoupdate ?

Have had a look at the download for the main program (Tuner Studio) but says last updated 19/6/08 ??

How can I get this onto my Car PC ??

Could I maybe have the latest on my internet (house) PC then copy the entire EFI Program file across and paste onto my Tablet PC ?...or does in install in multiple directories and have to be installed via the download program ?? ?

.951 is only through an update.
You can just copy TunerStudioMS.jar over, that is the only fie that changed between the two.

I will have another packaged release soon. I just had to buy a new MS1 controller with the Base B&G code on it. There are several issues with that firmware I am working out. So the next version will support that, then I should have them all covered. I just need to get those last few missing dialogs in there...
