Something going nuts

Something going nuts

Post by Kurt A »

Hi Phil,
I was out playing with Accel wizard tonight which works awesome by the way and had something go real bad with TSMS. After my tuning session I did a datalog and happened to catch TSMS going nuts. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have seen this occur but have not been able to get a datalog of it until now. I have seen this with both 097 and 098 releases. The car has no driveability issues when this occurs. I shutdown TSMS and restart the program and all is well, I do not have to cycle the power on the MS unit. I attached the datalog, maybe you can see what may have caused this.

That is interesting.... I take it your gauges are doing the same thing?
It appears that the och data is perhaps shifted. I'm not sure what would cause this, I'll need to think a bit. If you can come up with a way to cause it to happen, as set of steps that trigger this condition, please let me know.

Phil,
The gauges in TSMS Dash Board are doing the same thing during this problem. The other thing that I did notice prior to this happening is that in Accel Wizard the TpDot indicator line was showing double spikes (both equal, one record apart) even though only one application of throttle was being used. I was using Accel Wizard for about a 1/2 hr before doing the Datalog.

Thanks Kurt that is actually a good clue....
If you catch this happening again, Any other leads of actions that may have taken place like reopening projects or several disconnects and connects... is all helpful. I have a feeling this may be a tricky one to track down.

Something like multiple subscriptions or a threading thing on the OutputChannel publisher.

The OutputChannel publishing component is separate from the EcuParameter or tune setting publisher, so it is doubt full this would impact writes while it is happening.
