The default location for data logs is
Your Project folder\Datalogs
On Windows the default is:
"My Documents"\TunerStudioProjects\[Your Project Name]\Datalogs

Those are just the defaults, you can put your projects where ever you want. And if you choose to save data logs in a different place it will remember that too. So if you capture a datalog to your desktop, the next time you go to datalog, it will default to your desktop.

On the Bluetooth; I use an IOGear GBS301. It works well, but one consideration with it, it does not power off of pin 9 by default. You have to pop it open and run a wire from the pin to the power input.

Also, with at least this bluetooth, I assume all of them, your capture rate is pretty much limited to 10 records per second, which is still quite sufficient for most conditions. The dash is still responsive enough.

The range on it is great I can be in my bedroom on the second floor and connect to a MegaSquirt in the basement no problem.
