Everyone loves tuner studio

Post by xrattiracer »

So the last couple weeks at the drags I've had several people a night look in my car and see TS running on my laptop and ask me how much it cost and where to get it :) I used to get some interest with the LED dash, but everyone loves the new dash with the new version of TS. An old timer even told me it was cheating compared to his carb setup! :D
You should be proud of what you have created here, since other tuners with their expensive standalone systems are jealous of TS. Keep up the good work!

For sure! A few local car meets I went to I had a constant crowd around my saturn. People were really surprised to see this kind of interface on a standalone.
When you release the final version, you SHOULD charge people for it. $10 for example, isn't a whole lot, but I bet a lot of grateful people will be more than happy to chip in. I just sold some injectors and paid for MegaLogViewer, because it has saved me a ton of time.

Also, I always use your software as an example at school. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm getting a bachelor's degree in Computing and Software Systems at University of Washington, and in many of my classes we are learning Java. People always ask what can you really do with Java? I always bring up your software, and everyone thinks it's way too cool :)

Yes there will be a pay for version.
When it is released there will be 2 versions, a free one and an upgrade that will have a charge for it. It is the new pricing model I intend to move to instead of the nag.
The free version will still be better than all the rest of the tuning software options, but most of the bells and whistles will be in the upgrade.
It would be nice to give it away for ever but I actually have a substantial investment in this time and money and eating is nice :)

Phil this software is awesome as is right now! Everyone I have shown it to can not believe it is a free download. I will be the first in line for the pay version.

I'm planning on buying a 7" touchscreen, now that TunerStudio justifies it. Considering that will be $150 - $200, $10 is a very small price to pay for your great software :)

I guess you know what they are... any chance in sharing this information.

I will definitely buy the upgrade as it's such a great software

As far as the car PC Touchscreen, Phil please do not forget about the autostart full screen gauges.

The full screen start up is in there, the new release should be out in a couple days. :)

Well, sort of.. I have a rough idea but haven't solidified it yet.
But initially I am expecting the upgraded version to have:
- Tuning tab, separate tab with switchable tables and curves and a specialized gauge cluster
- Trigger logger MS1 Extra & MS2 Extra)
- Multiple Gauge Clusters
- More Gauge styles and full dash flexibility.
- Logo free gauge cluster (There will likely be a permenent EFI Analytics / TunerStudio logo in the free one)
- VE Analysis live

The list goes on a long ways from there, but how much beyond that will be in the 1st release is yet to be seen. Naturally additional features will keep coming :)

I believe the "- VE Analysis live" will be the most wanted feature.
Hopefully it's at the top of list ;)
