What is earlier? Anything 1.5 or newer is good. 1.4, no good.
Can you create a new project?

Loaded latest JRE. No difference.

With Metal it will not even select the project.

Both CDE/Motif and GTK+ will select and then accept and close dialog, but nothing happens then.

I had the same exact problem except mine would not load with GTK+ enabled, but any other one was fine.

If you bring it up to 0.985.1, this should be fixed.

I now appear to have spoiled my Java installation in an attempt to get TS working.

I installed the latest 1.6.011
In the web browser it works OK but will not launch TS from either icon or TunerStudio.jar.

:( :(

I upgraded and when I set it to gtk+ and go to file open it still crashes. It is not a big deal to me but I just wanted you to know.

thanks for your very hard work. Jeremy

tasmod,
What are you getting?
What icon?
Try executing the TunerStudio.sh file from a terminal.

If that doesn't work, what to you get if you type
java -version
in the terminal?

Did the gtk+ work on the last release? I wouldn't think the release could effect that as it is part of the JRE. I don't know if anyone is using the different looks at all, but i through it on there as an option to see if anyone cared :)

Icon: I put the TS icon on the desktop and linked it. It worked OK before. It's java problem.

In terminal I get the message line 7: java: command not found

java -version bash: java: command not found

I think paths must be incorrect, but this has been a nightmare for me in Linux due to it's somewhat complicated tree structure.
I ran the Java console and checked it was running as best I could. Seems to be.

Ok, I'm with it is a java problem... :?

You are probably on with the path problem, or maybe a broken link.

Can you remove and reinstall java with your package manager?

Yes, I've currently cleared Java with package manager and cleared remnants.

I'm closing the laptop down now and will resume to-morrow. late, off to bed. :D

The GTK+ has always worked as it should as far as changing the looks, but if you go to project open with GTK+ look it will crash but if you change it back to metal it does not crash. What I mean by crashing is that it closes out as if you X it out. If I click the tunerstudio.sh file it will load normally again after the crash.

Got it :D :D :D

After a reload of Java the program ran, it would still not load a project, or so I thought !

In frustration I madly clicked the mouse rapidly on the project about 6 or 7 times in succession and it loaded the project :o
Now that's different behaviour to what I expected from Puppy, usually one click activates anything. Hard to stop double clicking like windoze.

The double click opening a project works pretty lousy on all the linux's. It is on my list of things to do something about. The file dialogs in Java suck, that is my single biggest complaint against the language.
