First let me say OMG Thank You Phil!! This software is awesome and just what MS needed!
I just finished my turbo install and would like to start from scratch and build a new msq. Can I go ahead and flash to the new firm and use TS? I assume its as simple as "new project" right?
Also I saw threads about digital dashes and speedos. If you are going to go digital dash using TS why not get a 50$ gps reciever for the carputer laptop instead of taxing MS's cpu? Just a thought.

I've been wanting to play with a gps to see if it's response is fast enough for a decent speedo. Even then I have to finish making TS speak to 2 ports at the same time. Have you used a gps in this way? What sort of refresh rate and accuracy have you gotten?
But for your original question, yes it should be that simple. The only caveat is that I don't have a 2.888 ini in the installer yet. I better pay better attention
But you just click "Other" on the 1st page and browse to the one you are using with MegaTune.

Great, I'll flash up tomorrow.
GPS accuracy is dead on but the refresh takes about 3-5 sec. I bought a "speedo" for my bicycle that was a simple magnet with a pickup counter that multiplied by wheel dia. That should be super cheap and relatively easy to install, both things I am a fan of
I can send you my usb gps receiver if you want to play with that, just let me know.

Re: TS support 2.888a.c firmware? GPS speedo?
The mechanical setup can get you the speed for a speedometer, but there are a lot of benefits to getting speed in the tuning software and log files. That opens the doors for all sorts of performance analysis like
- HP & TQ
- Time to Speed (0-60, 1/4 mile...)
- Braking speed.
- instant MPG
- Long term MPG
- ETA
A 3-5 sec lag would work ok for all of these except performance. Too much lag. MS3 should have a speed sensor built in
