Video of TS running on OS-X

Post by UnaClocker »

First ran a test on the bench, then I plugged the MS into the car and did the initial start. This is the first time I've done an initial setup of a fresh MS2 CPU with TS. I'm sold! :) I really liked the status bars and such while flashing on the MSQ, and in other places while burning. Nice to know it's actually working rather than spending 30 seconds wondering. :)
My camera is really low res, I'm starting to realize I need to get a real camera one of these days soon. Anyways, here's the links..

I should have noted, I'm running the latest beta version of MS2-Extra. I didn't have too much trouble figuring out where to stick the ini to get it listed as an option in TS.. :)

That still isn't too nice for firmware upgrades.

If you go to the Menu:
Project --> Properties

Then on the 1st tab under ECU Definition, click "Other".
You can browse to your new ini. TS will set that for your project and copy it to the new ini to the
[install dir]\config\ecuDef
directory so it will be in the drop down in the future.

But this is still sort of complicated.

For the next release i am thinking I will check for the right ini on a signature mismatch condition, and prompt the user to update use the appropriate ini or browse to the right ini.

Sounds good. I had a feeling there might be an easier way, I must admit, I haven't read this forum much at all to get usability tips.. :) Got a wiki manual for TS? :)

hehe, thanks. I loaded the MSQ from the 2.4 in my Omni, which is all but identical to the 2.0 in this car, just less stroke. Same head and everything else. Changed the req fuel and was good to go. That's one of my favorite things about MS2-Extra is that it calculates the cranking pulsewidth based on the req fuel numbers. So it scales automatically when you have different injectors (or in this case, engine size too)..
