runnin ford sensors

runnin ford sensors

Post by 62f100 »

im running ford iat & clt.before the last two upgrade i had the right temp on the tuner gauges, now it gone back to the gm parameters on tuner, but ms still use ford parameters.so the fan turns at roughly 151f but tuner shows 41f or close.i may have took a file out some were so if u could tell me were the 3 easytherm file should be placed il double check those spots.ms1 v2.2 29y4 windows xp.il also get my other laptop out, maybe im thinking this worked when it was the other one running vista.anyway if u could post the file that would reference the easytherm il check if all is ok on my end.

The thermFactor.inc & matFactor.inc should be in :
[your project folder]\inc

So if you create a new project, you will need to copy those to the new project. I meant to put it into the project properties and new project wizard, but it slipped my mind :(

That should be right if your project is f100 and FordEEC_IncFiles is the actual files...
Is it not working?

f100 is the project name & the ford eec file has easytherm airden factor , therm factor, mat factor, help readme , copy temp incfiles in it. doo i need to take them out of the file & put them in one at time? i pretty sure it read the right temp until sometime around superbowl sunday .the thing i deleted that i know of is msq files.tuner is using gm values, not ford.ms is working fine on ford setting,i know this because the motor warms up then the fan comes on at around 151 f .if u look at the gm compared to ford, 151 f ohms in ford is 40 some in gm.

Try copying them to the projectCfg folder.

They should work in the inc, but I remember at some point they weren't. I'll check it out now here.

I just checked it out and it is loading the inc dir fine. Looking at the code it checks in this order:
[ProjectDir]\inc\
[ProjectDir]\projectCfg\
[AppDir]\inc\

So if it isn't working for you, I'm thinking maybe it is related to a bug I just fixed in this last release...
When creating a project, it wasn't getting rid of the "MyCar" dir and in the end your new project wasn't actually in:
"My Documents\TunerStudioProjects\[YourProjectDir]"
but actually in:
"My Documents\TunerStudioProjects\MyCar\[YourProjectDir]"

And if you did ever create a MyCar project, then you couldn't even drill into the MyCar folder to get to your real project.

This had me chasing my tail for a bit the other night :)
As you can imagine, my TunerStudioProjects folder has a lot of projects in it. I was trying to create a new one and it kept opening the old one....

Check under your "My Documents\TunerStudioProjects\MyCar\" folder if you have one and see if you have a project under there you didn't even know about.
You may need to move it to:
"My Documents\TunerStudioProjects\"

This is fixed in 0.987.5
