MSQ Units Mismatch for ...

Post by evo828 »

Starting to use TS on ubuntu. Created project, selected the properties (degC, wideband etc.) - took the msii extra beta 20090201.ini file and my last msq (from megatune)

When I first open the msq (saved in Megatune_ I get this list of errors:

17 Warnings:
Warning: MSQ Units Mismatch for IACcoldtmp! C found in current configuration, °C found in MSQ, values were not converted to new units.

What do they mean - what do I need to check/adjust?

They won't hurt anything, because it is C to C. So the settings will all be right.

I am curious why the units are coming up different though. It looks like the unicode character for deg is getting switched, but it doesn't for other firmwares. I'll have to look at that and see if I can reproduce it. If not I may ask for a copy of some stuff.

I'm not actually reproducing this to see what the strange degree char is. Can someone post msq where you are seeing this?
It again won't cause any problems.

That is the model I use here, if it is a warning, it is nothing to worry about, information only. Sort of to help developers. If TS can not figure out how to resolve the situation, it will report an error. By default you will only be prompted if there is an error, but if you turn on the advanced setting you will be prompted for warnings too.

Actually the temp units change is such common and easy to solve for, I think I will just handle the conversions so you can open a C based msq in a F based project and vice verse.
