988.4 Update Failed VISTA ?????

Hi Phil

On my vista LP, the 988.4 update failed to download. { Message: Check logfile for details.}
Please can you help, as I do not know were to check the logfile details.

On the PC with XP on it, no prob with the update.

Depending on security settings, On vista you usually need to run as an administrator for auto update to work right. I have to come up with a fix for this still...

Basically right click the icon you are using to start the app, go into advanced settings and select Run As Administrator.

Then when you start it you will get the regular Vista UAC prompt. Do a check for updates from the Help menu.

I tryed this { Basically right click the icon you are using to start the app, go into advanced settings and select Run As Administrator.}
With no luck. then I disabled UAC and that did the trick.

Glad you got it going...
With Vista getting very common, I need to make things work better with UAC. 1 Trouble is, with 11 computers here in the house, I don't have one on Vista

All on XP, Window server 2003 or Linux...

I just put Windows 7 on the PC in my car.. I'll let you know how it does next time an update comes through..
