AE wizard takes long to open

Post by Philip Lochner »

Phil

I've experienced a number of times that trying to open the AE wizard results in either nothing happening when clicking on the Acceleration Wizard command, or just a white window appearing after a long time (minute or two). It seems to be the only window that I've had a problem with.

Once I can get it open it seems to work fine though.
Kind regards
Philip

Interesting.
Just after you see this happen, either, not opening or taking a very long time, can you get your TunerStudioLogFile.txt and send it to me at:

This may have been a false alarm Phil. Today everything worked fine.... I'm sure I saw that issue with AE two days in a row but let me play with it more to be sure. It may be that my USD - Serial adapter was not plugged in properly or that it was not making good contact or some such...
Kind regards

Let me know. A comm issue should slow down or prevent window opening, the components in the dialog will register to be notified of OuputChannel and Parameter updates, but doesn't wait for anything... So if you see this happen, it would most probably be some type of error happening, unless it was just the laptop hanging for some reason?

Hi Phil

I DO have a problem with AE wizard...

I've realised that if I open TS with my PC having come out of hibernation, I have this problem that AE wizard takes what feels like more than a minute to open but then the wizard is "dead". All the rest of TS runs fine - only AE wizard has this issue.

If I reboot my PC, open TS and open the AE wizard all is fine.

Hoping you can fix this as I've no issue with MT coming out of hibernation any number of times.

I'm using XP and a USB-RS-232 cable.
Kind regards
