Feature Req: Histogram "Display Time"

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Feature Req: Histogram "Display Time"

Post by Southcross »

I'd like some way to "See" or control the lenght of time a histogram displays its line graph data.

It is on my todo list to change some things for the histogram, both on data capture and get the multiple line graph. But, I think you are looking for something a bit different, so I'm interested in hearing more.

Right now the time is strictly set by the width of the histogram. x pixels wide for every record. So to change what you see from a time back perspective you could only do 2 things:
- Allow different zooms, so you can change x to be 1 or more. Currently I think it is 2 pixels wide for each record.
- A scrolling back mechanism so you could Scroll back in time?

Is this what you had in mind?

Yes, maybe, and I would LOVE that

I have three different histograms (RPM, AFR, Air Temp)... but due to the existance of other guages they are different sizes. Between them "clearing" at different rates, and having to guess when the data will scroll off, would be nice to equalize the scrolling rate. Plus, being able to "see" how long ago the event happened/changed... maybe 10 or 15s tick marks across the bottom of the gauges
