Can't enable boost control

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Can't enable boost control

Post by tristanlee85 »

Phil,

I was trying to setup a friend's car over the weekend and I had a little problem. I started out with a fresh firmware burn of 029y4. I then began to configure the tune using TS, but I noticed that when I went to change X4/JS2 to boost control in the Code Outputs and Functions, boost control would never be enabled, and ocen I closed out of that dialog and opened it back up, it would default back to Output1*. So, for testing, I opened MegaTune and enabled boost control on X4/JS2, burned the change, and then my boost control menu items were available. I went back into TS and boost control could not be enabled.

Unfortunately I am no longer there so I'm not able to share the MSQ or anything, but maybe you would have some insight for me..

Thanks.

That was caused by a bug that was causing a problem with hex values for the enable condition in the ini file. It is fixed in 0.988.7, which should be out within the hour? I am just wrapping it up now.

Ahh cool. I'll let him know. He only uses MT because he "isn't familiar with TS"... though the gauges and menus can be setup the same as MS... oh well. Thanks for the info!
