I'm working on some gauges for my 98 Neon R/T (still needs work), I will leave the stock fuel gauge on the left corner and all the others will be digital.

I LIKE that!!
"Hey, at least the Skylark proves that even a messy hack can patch together a reliable EFI system. I can't think of a time the MegaSquirt has left me stranded since installation ~100,000 miles ago."

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
Since TS is in Beta can I maybe make a few recommendations for the new dash designer? Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but I think there are a few changes that would be helpful.
The dialog box for properties is REALLY tall. Is there any way for you to "turn off" options that cannot be used for a particular gauge style? For instance, when I am adjusting the options on an actual gauge, I don't need the options for an indicator. I think that that would shorted up the dialog box enough to make it a little bit easier to deal with.
Also, is there any way for you to include a box that you can directly type numbers into instead of always trying to get the sliders just right? I don't mean eliminate the slidebars, just an extra box like you have for the color dialog. That way, if we want to match a number for something, we can just punch it in.
Is it possible to have a bar gauge that would "light up" the portion of the gauge that it is at? An AFR gauge would be a really good application. That way it could be checked at a glance and see if it's good bad or otherwise. (Sorry that that explination was so terrible, but I can't think of a good way to describe it.)
Would it be possible to have the "regular gauge" faces light up for critical warnings?
Hopefully this was somewhat helpful feedback.

WOW, excellent thread. I've just started designing my dash layout and would like to steal, I mean borrow, some of your ideas.
One quick question; do these displays work on an android tablet?
Someday I will try and get the cluster onto a double DIN stereo HU, but that is another project. Have to learn to crawl before I can walk.

Yes, any dash made with 2.6.xx TS can be used with Shadow Dash. Some TS 2.9.xx dash features is not yet in Shadow Dash, but dashboards is coming.benckj wrote:WOW, excellent thread. I've just started designing my dash layout and would like to steal, I mean borrow, some of your ideas.

$50 Best Buy Digiland Tablet 7" with integrated GPS for Speed and Navigation....can't beat the price. With Auto Sleeper APP, Will turn ON by itself and already be on Shadow Dash APP when the car is started and it will go to sleep when engine is off.

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
I have 3.3.3 I believe. I have not update to the 3.4.x yet as I do not think I would benefit from the update.

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
Nah, it is only the firmware family that matters.. MS2 Extra.
If you click the new dashboard, in the dialog of 2.9.123, you don't see any of these dashboards in the drop down?
