TunerStudio MS 1.0 Released

This version of TunerStudio has been thoroughly tested by thousands of users.

I want to thank all those who have tested earlier versions and provided feedback.

For anyone new to TunerStudio, TunerStudio is the current main stream software for MegaSquirt supporting all version of MegaSquirt and continues to be actively developed.

The unregistered lite version gives all capabilities needed to set up and tune your controller but is far more feature rich and refined than the predecessor applications, registration is not required. If you choose to register, it supports the development effort and does bring you some cool additional features like VE Analyze Live Automated Tuning and designer dashboards.

If you are still using MegaTune, the transition is very simple and you will find almost everything in the same place, but even the Lite version has many more features and easier usability.

Download 1.0 at:
http://www.tunerstudio.com/index.php?op ... &Itemid=40
or
http://www.efianalytics.com/TunerStudio/download/

It is also available via Auto Update.

So finally it is getting a 1.0 version, this allows the bigger enhancements to come back into the beta stream.
The first big upcoming change is Multi-language support, Automatic Restore Points, Tune log....

For those who want to get all the latest beta features, download from:

Great software, good work.

However, I just updated to v1. Right before the update my temp sensors were correct, after update the software reloaded and the readings are now too low (just as if the calibration is wrong). Could you suggest a solution for me?

I've checked and the inc files are still in the project folder.

Regards
Dan

What version were you using before?
What firmware are you using?
Are you using custom inc files like produced from EasyTherm?
Are you sure you were using the inc files from under the Project dir and did not put the inc files in the inc dir under the installation folder?

Thanks for reply.

Unfortunately, not sure of the previous version. I would imagine it was the previous latest. I think it updated end of Feb.
Megasquirt 1 extra. Version 029y4
Yeah custom files from easytherm
Pretty sure its the right location: C:\Users\Dan\Documents\TunerStudioProjects\Ronnie\inc

Thanks

Hi Phil, I might have found an issue.

I'm opening an old MS1 MSQ and ask me for an INI, I select it and I get an NPE like so:

Hmm, not reproducing. Maybe let me know what i am doing different

I took an old msq from MSnS-extra format 026h4*********
-- Double click on it.
- Prompted if i want to use an existing project
- Click No, so use Temp Project
- Got prompted that TS does not have the ini, whould I like to browse for it
- Click yes, browse to ini
- Select the MSnS-extra format 026h4********* ini

It opened.

Automatic update does not appear to be working for me. I click on check for updates and it says that it is Checking but nothing else happens.
Linux running 0.999.9m

Dan, Do you have the inc files you need?
If you have the Ronnie project open, that is the right place for the inc files.

But nothing has changed for inc handling in over a year, so there should be no change there. I will see if I can reproduce.

Humm, just noticed the MSQ I was tried to load from that guy seems totally messed up: http://www.turbocamaroproject.com/megas ... _06_22.msq

Maybe the bug is not too bad then, I guess you could still handle that and say invalid MSQ instead of crashing tho :D

James, Interesting... I just tried an auto update on an old Linux machine with 32 bit Ubuntu and 0.999.9h, nothing...
Same results as you. Not sure why, I'll have to check. I guess you need to use the tar for now.

hmm ok, should I try remaking the inc files with easy therm and putting them in the folder?

Presumably nothing has changed in the megasquirt itself?

Presumably nothing has changed in the megasquirt itself?
nope... All those calcs are done straight from the inc files for MS1 and TS would / couldn't update the firmware.

gauge copy-paste via ctrl-c and ctrl-v pastes two objects. so you end up with 3 of the same.

Phil,

Installed 1.0 on my laptop running XP and desktop running Win7. On both, I now get the error below at startup. This is with MS3 firmware v1.0.0. The dash on the laptop is highly customized but the desktop one is standard. Any ideas?

Edit: forgot to mention above, TS appears to work fine after acknowledging the message.

Those warning messages are long-standing mistakes in the ini file that TunerStudio was previously silently ignoring (so we didn't know they were there.) I've already fixed them up for the next MS3 1.0 and 1.1 releases.

FYI, Phil no problems here on OSX 10.6.6 and Linux Mint 10, moving from 0.999.9j to 1.0, TunerStudio detected the update, downloaded and then restarted faultlessly. 8)
