When I click on the tab for VE Analyze Live I get this message.

Error setting gauges, check log for detail. Failed to load Gauge Cluster Content is not allowed in prolog.

I also noticed with my Lap Top connected and not using VEAL the bar across the top of the screen flashes from left to right

at the same interval as when VEAL is updating the controller while using VEAL.

This happens with KOER or KOEO when hooked to the controller. I do not recall seeing this before.

The blue bar going when updates are sent is normal behavior, that blue bar is triggered when ever any sizable block of data is sent to the controller.

This sounds like there is something mis-configured or corrupt in the project, I'm not sure what. The easiest way to find out what is probably to archive the project (if on the beta) or zip the whole project (if not on the beta).
Then send it to support <at> efiAnalytics. com

When this is happening I am not using VEAL or any other tuning, just hooked up to the lap top.

Hi Phil, should I down load a new version of TS or wait to here from you on the Project I send you?

Also how can I tell if it is beta or not? This is the registered version of TS.

AFAIK, TS 2.2.30 is the current beta version. TS 2.0.8 is the release version.

I missed the NOT.. Is this consistent for you? Check the title bar for version, it will say TunerStudio MS(Beta) if the beta. The versions are as Ken laid out.

If you see the blue bar running and don't know what is getting sent, turn on com debug and I will be able to see what was getting sent in the TunerStudioAppDebug.txt file..

Hi Phil, I am not exactly sure what you want me to send you.
You said send you the project, is this TS in down loads or just my msq?
Something else I have noticed that is new is every time I try to open a
different msq in the same project TS prompts me to do a power cycle.
I could not get the blue bar to do what it did before.

I was hoping you could use a program like WinZip to zip up your whole project. Then I can see what is up in it.

You could also install the beta, and archive the project. That basically zips the whole project into 1 file that you can send.
This is only in the beta, but to do so...
While the project is open, select:
File --> Project -- Archive Project
- A file save dialog will open.
- Uncheck "Include Data Logs" ( don't need those and they can make it much bigger )
- Give it a file name and location you will be able to find it
- Click save

That will put your whole project in one compressed file that you can email to me. I can import it and should see the same error messages you are.

It looks like somehow the "Histogram" dash on the VE Analyze tab got corrupted. It is actually an empty file.

To fix it,
- Go to VE Analyze
- Click on the Histogram Tab
- The dash will be blank, right click on it.
- Select "Load / Save" --> Load Dashboard.

Or you can just delete the file:
[YourTsProjectFolder]\dashboard\veAnalyze_veTable1Tbl_histogram.dash

Then next time you go there TS will generate the default dash for it.

edit: word. Now if restart TS the first time I open VEAL the error message does not appear,
but if I go back to gauge cluster then back to VEAL the error message appears.

Hi Phil, one more thing I found: when the error message appears I can click on the Ok button
5 time and the message goes away. I can then toggle between the different screens and the
error message does not reappear. However once I shut down TS and restart it the cycle
starts all over again. Not sure if this will have any affect on VEAL tuning so for now I am not using it.

Hmm, I was only getting the error once with your project and it was the histogram dash on VE Table 1 that was bad.
Deleting it so TS generated a new on made the error go away.

Now you are getting 5 errors? It sounds like you have more dasboards going bad. Is the disk failing?

I'll archive the fixed project here and email it, see if that works.

But there is no worry of dashboards effecting VEAL. The just listen and display, they don't do any thinking.

but this is a 6 week old Dell lap top with windows 8.

With the beta you can import the project from the main menu:
File-->Project --> Import Archived Project

It will prompt you for the project name for the imported project.

Then open that project.
