add a gps speedo to custom dash to work with shadow dash

hello,

i have bought shadow dash to be used on my samsung tablet as a dashbaord in my car. I am trying to design my custom guage cluster, I would like a speedo guage which is driven off the tablets gps like the standard one in shadow dash but I cant seem to find one on the tuner studio.

can anyone help please

In TunerStudio if you activate GPS, the GPS based gauges will be added. You don't necessarily need to have a GPS for TS, just turn it on while working on the dash.

On the Main Menu:
Communications --> GPS Configuration

I have tried this but when I tick the gps enabled box, it wont let me accept, it want me to select a dconnection type, but I will be using the gps on the tablet?

Sorry if this seems like a daft question but im new to all of this.

Did you select some port?
It doesn't matter if there is actually a GPS there.

I should put together a custom.ini that will add both GPS and Accelerometer channels and gauges for making shadow dash dashboards.

sorry for sounding daft but how do I select a port? when I try to config the gps it only has rs232 but wont allow me to select a port as there is none in the drop down

right ive had a look and a bit of a play with the laptop and I cant for the life of me work out how to set the port up. Is it possible to do this without having the ecu connected as that is all wrapped up in the workshop? I just want to set the main dashboard up so I can see what it is like on the tablet whilst driving my daily drive

You need some type of device connected to the computer that will set up a com port. This can be a GPS or just the USB to RS232 cable you use to talk to your megasquirt. If that is plugged in your will then have a COM port in the drop down.
