laptop microsquirt communication probelms

purchased a PNP LS microsquirt kit and the car fired up with minimal issues.
Went to take it on its maiden voyage and it was surging/stalling at very low throttle positions
so I decided to make a small change in the VE table for those cells. After the change the change
the car ran worse and so I was putting it back and the car died. I was unable to restart it so i
tried loading this .msq file and now i can no longer communicate with the ECM . I get test port failed
and no device found. I'm looking for assistance on how to regain communications.

Detect finds nothing also?

Is there any sign the unit is powered? Fuel pump going on?

It is not turning on the fuel pump relay. No fuel pressure.

Try reloading the firmware with the "BOOTLOAD" wire grounded.
(This is covered in section 2.8 of the Megasquirt-2 setting up manual.)

just an update.I travel so today was the first day in a month to work on the car again.
The problem was just the switched 12v wire to the microsquirt was not connected well so it thought
the key was off so no communication and that is why it stopped running in the first place.

simple things can be frustrating
