pulsewidth as parameter in output port

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

pulsewidth as parameter in output port

Post by sd1nl »

Hi,

Is it correct that if I use the pulsewidth as a parameter in the output port I can only use rounded numbers? This is a bit of a problem because there is quite a difference between a pw of 2.0 and 3.0, having nothing inbetween.

Need a liilebit more resolution.

That would actually be a TunerStudio issue.

Strange thing is I can enter let's say 2.8, but as soon as the dialog window is closed and opened again the value has changed to 3.0

What firmware and what version of TunerStudio?
2.8 should work fine.

2.6.0.1.

But if I do help/search for update it comes back with the message "no updates available, 2.6.0.1 is the latest version"

I don't understand.

MSQ attached.

Strange thing is that offline I can change the pw decimal today (couldn't yesterday), but not online.

The hysteresis decimal I cannot change offline today, I could do that yesterday.

Beats me.

I am seeing some strange behavior here. It was working fine for me at 1st, then they stopped.
I will look into it.

If I make a large change, say more than a delta of 1.0 it does seem to stick every time.

So the work around seems to be to change it a large amount, close the dialog, then go to your desired value.
Quite odd.

Doesn't work on the car. It keeps rounding off the decimals. If I enter 1.6, close and open the dialog it's changed to 2.0 again.

You didn't do what Phil suggested.

Change it to 6 and close the window.
Open it again and type in 1.6.

Ok, that seems indeed to do the trick. Let me try it on the car tomorrow.
