So something interesting happened last night. I upgraded TS to 2.6.04 on my laptop, and when it reopened I tried to go into a setting to change it and was rewarded with a "there is no tune loaded" message. I fooled around with a few things and was able to open my tune, but every time I'd close TS and reopen it, the tune would be gone until I manually loaded it.
Eventually I dug around and found the (presumably new?) "Automatically load and save current tune" option, turned it on, and happiness ensued. But here's the weird thing: on my work computer I also have TS installed, and had upgraded it, and that option was already on (so I didn't see any change in behavior)! Very strange.
Anyhow, I actually have two suggestions: if it's not done already, make sure new options like this one that change the way TS behaves always default to the old behavior when an upgrade is done. And it would be really cool when upgrading, if it could somehow pop up a release notes or "readme" file telling users what's changed in the latest version and potential "gotchas" to look out for.

Re: Weird issue with 2.6.04 and a suggestion
That is not a new option, it has been there for years. The default has always been on too.
That is very much the standard practice to leave the default as what it did in the past, unless there is a very good reason.
Now that still leaves the question, how did your get off? even if the tsUser.properties was deleted, it would have fallen back to the default on?

Re: Weird issue with 2.6.04 and a suggestion
Hmmm... that's weird!
I upgrade TS on that machine pretty much whenever there's a new version, and I didn't notice anything odd this time. Of course I apparently didn't notice that setting that was there forever either!
I *am* 99.9% sure I didn't change the setting manually. All I did was open TS like I usually do (which opens my last project and current tune), did the upgrade, TS restarted and it reopened my project (verified by seeing the project name in the title bar), then I went in and tried to change the cranking pulse setting and there was nothing there.

Yeah, if you didn't know it was there, I doubt you turned it off
I'll keep an eye for something I haven't thought of that could cause that.

Re: Weird issue with 2.6.04 and a suggestion
Is there any sort of log I could supply that would help?
