Analyze live for new Boost control bias table?

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Analyze live for new Boost control bias table?

Post by Zaphod »

Hi Phil, (and maybe also James/Ken?)

with the new boost control of the MS3 1.4 alphas that utilize the boost control bias table - how hard would it be to pre-tune this bias table
with a VEanalyze-like function.

From my understanding you should set up this table with the boost control PIDs set at 0 and then fill the table to get to your desired boost levels (boost target table?).
That sounds like an analyze function could be working just like the VEanalyze.

Would this be possible?

I know that you can try to look up the dutys on a scatter plot, but as we are so spoiled by the ease of the VEanalyze - maybe this would be possible...

The real key is having a vehicle that is using it, I currently do not.

I would be pleased to help to test this out, my car is on the road this year for another 4 weeks (until October 31)

Interesting. I'm having to retune my table from a transmission gearing change. Not a big deal and I'm almost done, but I would be happy to test this out too if there is an oppurtunity
