Run two instances on one vehicle?

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Run two instances on one vehicle?

Post by ErnieJones »

Hi!

I have registered Tuner Studio and so it's on both my desktop and my netbook. The only way I can connect to the ECU is through BlueTooth. Is it possible to have both computers connected to the ECU with Tuner Studio at the same time?

Also, if I leave the boot load jumper installed I seemed to have a hard time connecting. I started to think maybe this is a safety feature or was it just a bad connection?
Thanks you;
Ernie

Boot jumper is only to be installed when upgrading from certain firmwares or in the case of reloading new over a corrupted firmware. Otherwise it is not to be connected/jumped.

Any idea on whether I can have two computers running TS on the same vehicle?

I very much doubt it is possible. The blue tooth device should only "pair" with one other device.

Don't think so - but easy to copy the current tune into the correct project directory? If you do this frequently, put a short cut to it on each of the computer's desktops. I do this with log files so I can view more easily on a bigger monitor.

Only 1 device can talk to the MegaSquirt at a time.
